Hello, I am Mia
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Toronto, Canada.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually turned into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Canada wasn’t in the grand plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something larger.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks felt more difficult than they ought to.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something stable.
Why I Built SavaQuelaRavyn
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Canada.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Gained practical insights from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a real change
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
We’ll continue our stay in Canada and the learning journey as well. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Mia
